Being "Bridged" Is Quite the Experience

A lot of writing goes on here in the Lake Superior area--much to write about! If it isn't the beauty, it's the history of the place that enchants its people. Many publications, businesses, and even churches rely on the name "Superior" to enhance the notable features of their own greatness.  I love how Lake Superior inspires us all. Together, we may just have the fresh insight others are looking to appreciate as well.  See me for help with your creative writing pieces or photojournalism blog.

Ever heard of the term bridged. (Maybe you've heard trained.) I used to hear the word bridged from a friend who lived in Canal Park in Duluth. People who live there have to go over the Aerial Lift Bridge to get to their residence. There are times when the Lift Bridge actually lifts for a ship coming through. That's when my friend could not proceed across until the bridge came back together again. That may be one downside to living there, but for retired folk and those who are willing to hazard a ten-minute momentary intrusion on their busy schedules, well... it makes for good conversation. I've yet to be "bridged" and will have to wait for it.

I love being an extra eye in the "storm of words" that writers use to communicate.
